Davila Engineering (DE) was commissioned to provide Professional Engineering Design and Construction Administration services for the replacement of three 175-ton rooftop air-cooled chillers at Bank of America’s facility located at 17100 NW 59th Ave, Hialeah, FL. The scope of work included mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural engineering services to replace the existing chillers with similar-sized equipment, ensuring seamless integration with the building’s chilled water distribution and automation systems. DE’s tasks included site reviews, mechanical design, electrical modifications, structural analysis and design for new support systems, and the development of construction documents for permitting and bidding. The project also involved the preparation of a construction phasing plan, the coordination of the chiller test and balance scope, and final inspections, including punch list items and documentation for closeout.
