Four Seasons

Davila Engineering (DE) conducted a comprehensive engineering assessment of the Steam Boiler System at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, FL, specifically addressing the steam system serving the facility’s laundry dryers. The assessment focused on evaluating the condition, functionality, and compliance of the fire tube steam boilers with Florida Statutes and building codes. DE inspected various system components, including the boiler room’s ventilation and exhaust systems, the boiler management and combustion control systems, safety devices, and steam distribution and condensate return piping. Additionally, DE reviewed maintenance records, identified opportunities to improve system efficiency and energy performance, and provided recommendations for necessary upgrades, including optimizing ventilation, improving safety, and enhancing reliability. The assessment culminated in a detailed report that prioritized the recommended improvements based on cost-benefit analysis, along with capital budget estimates for the proposed upgrades.
