Temporary Chilled Water System Piping

Boca Raton, FL

Davila Engineering (DE) provided Professional MEPFP Engineering Design and Construction Administration services for the $850K Central Energy Plant (CEP) Emergency Temporary Chilled Water (CHW) System Connection at a pharmaceutical biolab. The project involved the demolition of the existing Tri-Temp Chiller, along with the design and installation of new CHW piping, including supply and return lines that will penetrate the CEP’s exterior wall for connection to an emergency temporary chiller. The scope included designing isolation valves, blind flanges for future chiller connections, and ensured structural support for the new system. Electrical engineering services covered the design of a 350-amp chiller feeder, system modifications, and fault analysis. Additionally, the project included construction phasing to minimize facility impact, AHJ interactions, and submission of signed and sealed documents for AHCA review. DE also provided ongoing project management support, including coordination of the pre-bid meeting, review of contractor bids, and participation in inspections and project reviews.
