Pharmaceutical Biolab
AHU High Pressure Steam and Condensate Piping Redesign
Boca Raton, FL
Davila Engineering (DE) was commissioned to provide professional MEPFP engineering services for the redesign of the $600k AHU 601 steam piping and condensate return system at a pharmaceutical biolab. The project addresses deficiencies in the steam reheat coil of AHU 601’s desiccant wheel regeneration section by redesigning the steam supply piping, pressure regulation system, and condensate return system. DE will design a new pressure reducing station, steam traps, condensate piping, and new condensate pumps, along with electrical modifications for the pumps. The project includes developing a phased approach to minimize operational disruptions during construction, optimizing steam flow, and improving pressure regulation. DE will also provide comprehensive engineering calculations, construction documentation, and support for AHJ approvals. Additional services may include enhanced project management, such as coordinating pre- bid and pre-construction meetings, overseeing system outages, and reviewing contractor submittals and change orders.
